Episode Nine – Tastecasting

Our guest for Episode Nine of the Get Social! Radio Show will be Dan Harris, founder of Taste Casting. Our radio show listeners have been learning all kinds of new vocabulary thanks to our guests and this show will be no exception.

Taste Casting involves the invitation of socially networked individuals by independent restaurateurs to a complimentary food tasting. In exchange, this Taste Casting team broadcasts to their collective network of friends, followers and linked connections via Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, WordPress, Flickr, etc. Their cameras, flip video, camcorders, and smartphones tell the story of their experience at the restaurant. They communicate the story of the menu, smells, tastes, specials and overall ambiance that makes up the venue.
Dan is an Idea Guy. He is full of energy, ideas and resolves to make those ideas happen. This critical trio of skills makes him a force to be reckoned with. Dan is also a serious marketer who likes to say “We are not making mistakes fast enough” Yep, mistakes. Dan believes that you should make them, learn from them and then do not repeat them. “That’s how you become the best.”

So now you know why a guy like Dan gets on the Get Social! Radio Show, Wednesday August 26th at 9PM. He fascinates me and I know he will do the same for you!

Episode Eight – Local Newspapers

You may have heard someone call local newspapers a "civic asset" which expresses the idea that local newspapers are crucial to publishing election results, sports, public notices and important investigative reports. Imagine what the blogosphere would be like if there were no local papers to link out to?? We would be (nearly) speechless!
Our special guest for this week is Joyell Nevins, local reporter for the Sunday Record Herald and good friend of the Get Social! Radio Show.

Episode Seven – Politics and Social Media

Information sharing and publishing is now global, social, ubiquitous and cheap. This has allowed consumers of political messaging to also become publishers of the same.
Our discussion for Episode Seven will cover how the 2008 election enabled voters to share information unlike any previous campaign. Mike and Mark "The Producer" Mabelitini have invited special call-in guest Matt Dole, Political Consultant at Communications Counsel, Inc. to share his thoughts and insight in this discussion.
Any local or state politicians who intend to run in November should be listening closely in this special episode when both social media and political strategists weigh in on how to be a success and win big.

Episode Six – So What is Next?

Originally schedule guest Rich Wirdzek from WHIO Channel 7 News in Dayton was not able to make it tonight, so our new show topic is… So What is Next?

Special Guest for Episode Six is??? Not quite sure! It will be a surprise to us all.

We will be talking about what happens when you think you have done all that you could do and then find out that there is much, much more in store. Hence the show title… So What's Next?"
